Heidi spent the night at her friends house to celebrate her friends 7th birthday. It was her first slumber party and I woke up this morning slightly surprised that I was not called to go pick her up at 2:30. I am looking forward to picking her up in a few hours to hear all about her night.
Have you been watching the Olympic Trials?! What are your favorites? I love swimming and gymnastics. I want Heidi to learn how to do that back handspring twist thingy but I do not want her to be in the Olympics.
Speaking of Gymnastic Trials, what was up with that girls hair last night? She totally just threw it up in a ponytail. Erin and I were texting back and forth while watching and we think she looks like she just crawled out of bed and ran out to the meet.
Two of my favorite people, Chris and Ashley, are in the process of moving back to the Twin Cities from New York and I cannot be more excited about this. They stopped by to meet Cupcake last night so we spent a few hours in the back yard visiting and playing with the puppy. I realized I have turned back into one of those people who can only talk about their dog, their cat, and their kid. Good thing Chris and Ashley have exciting things going on so we can have a well rounded conversation because I am a bit of a mess right now!
We also had a surprise visit from another dear friend, Jimmy. I have not seen Jimmy in about a year but Shawn talks multiple times a week. Let me tell you, Jimmy has made some changes in his life and he looks amazing. I love that kid and I am so proud of him!
This afternoon we are heading out to the State Fair Grounds for Pet A Palooza. I am not 100% sure what this is but I know there will be flyball shows, adoption/foster groups, and vendors. My brother and his family are joining us and we are bringing Cupcake. It should be a good time!
I need to find a way to get more physical activity in my life. Erin tried Skyrobics this week and I was super jealous. Sounds like a blast and I hope to attend a class very soon.
