Heidi had a field trip on the Friday after we got back to the cities. That was one of the reasons we didn't stay away longer. Her school went to the Sculpture Garden and then had a picnic at Loring Park.
Saturday, Heidi attended a birthday party for a school friend at Chutes and Ladders park in Bloomington.
On Wednesday we attended the Zuhrah Shrine Ice Cream Social for the 6th consecutive year.
The first time we brought Heidi to the Ice Cream Social she was about 4 months old. Shannon and I sat with her on the lawn and fed her cool whip. She loved it!
Yum!
This child fills up fast so she likes to have her Ice Cream before her hot dogs, whenever possible!
And after dinner there was entertainment, including balloon puppies (her favorite!!).
Jitters juggled for us.
There was a cake walk
where Heidi won donuts!
They also had a game where you could win giant bottles of wine. Of course, Justin and Shawn played. And won.
But the best part was Sonny. She sat on Sonny for as long as she could and then went back and sat on him again. The owner, Chuck, told us that Sonny gives rides at the Horseman's brunch so she is already making plans to attend the next brunch in September.
Shrine Events are always fun but anytime we can have Ice Cream, Hot Dogs, Cake Walks, and Horses all at the same time, we are sure not to miss it!
